Uploading Files to the grid

Method of uploading data

SAS has an upload limit, so you may need to upload the data through me (Chris).

Methods of getting data to me:

• Share on OneDrive
• Email (assuming it's non-sensitive data)
• A link from https://sendafile.kennesaw.edu - for files smaller than 100 MB

Encrypting files

To send multiple sensitive files via email, it's best to encrypt the data before sending. To encrypt a compressed file with a password, you must use a third party program like 7zip.

To encrypt a zip file with 7zip (Windows only), do the following:

• Right click the file
• Go to 7-Zip ⇒ Add to Archive
• Give it a descriptive name
• Optional: Choose the archive format (Default: 7z)
• In the bottom right corner, type in your password. Check the box below to see what you've typed. Remember this and send it in a separate mode of communication from the email containing the files!
• Optional: Select the encryption method. (Default: AES-256)
• Click OK
• Email the compressed, encrypted file to cdow1@kennesaw.edu.
